Tweet Tweet... Tweet Tweet

No I am not a bird.. I'm just usin the lingo, yo, of Twitter. After creating an account a week ago I have been attempting to update my Twitter two times a day. Here are somethings I want to put out there. One, I think a day should be more of a figurative term.. I mean.. God created the world in 7 days... right? Or did He? See?? uh huh. Two, I prefer texting my updates because when you're on the go it is just easier. C, it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. Twittering twice a day does not come naturally! Especially if it wasn't my personal idea to do this whole Twitter thing in the first place. That is like asking someone to color two pictures a day. It is so abnormal.

Now, it's not all that bad. I talked to a kid I haven't talked to in forever when I synced my address book up. I don't mind the connectedness. I like being able to see what others are up to and for them to see what I'm doing. Sometimes it is nice to see that someone is having a good day.. or someone's day sucked just as bad as yours. And I don't really feel like my privacy was being invaded. You see if you put any sort of conscious effort into this thing you won't feel that way. If I don't want people to know certain private things, I'm going to be able to think in my mind "hmm.. I think this is private" and then continue to refrain from publishing it on the world wide web. :)

Let me talk to you...

As you saw last week I chose to follow the XXXChurch's VodCast, the PornMobile Confessions. So for my interview I was hoping to get to talk to Brandon Piety, he is the Production Manager of the team and I thought I would like his insight best especially because I am drawn towards production. The questions I had prepared were the following:

1. Why did you ditch the audio and go to strictly video casting?

2. What drives audiences to your vodcast?

3. Do you lose money creating the vodcast or gain money from it?

4. Being the Producion Manager, what is your role in getting the vodcast on the XXXChurch site?

5. Are there any pod/vodcasts that you follow and what attracts you to them?

Unfortunately I am still waiting to hear from Mr. Piety.

Podcasts....

So this was just extremely frustrating. I really do have problems with technology at time. But thank goodness for Google, which hooked me up with PicklePodcasts, which led me to the entertainment genre where I stumbled across a familiar name... XXXChurch.

For those of you that don't know, this organization is there to help those addicted to porn, sex, and masturbation, whomever they are. One man that is actively involved with XXXChurch spoke at a church service and that was the experience I had with their message.

I found their videocast at:

http://xxxchurch.tv/

I watched a few of their episodes and they are very interesting. They share new ideas, new bibles, new travels, and new stories. They travel to different shows and events to set up stands and give away little bibles and have great footage and stories of that. Although my favorite episodes are of the Pornmobile Confessions. In these episodes they will pick up the person and then that person just gives their story. It's very raw and compelling. Their stories are fascinating and heartbreaking. Most of these types of episodes have two guests each time.

I really enjoyed watching some of these episodes. They are very compelling and produced well. I'm glad I finally found something somewhat familiar, and I like that it was video. I will definitely keep up with this blog. (You can even get an internship with them!)
